RECOGNITION EVENT:
May 25, 2010

Our annual recognition event kicks off with a reception and presentation ceremony for the honorees where local dignitaries and media will be on hand to mark the occasion. The honorees are also featured on a commemorative poster that will be unveiled at the celebration and then distributed throughout Lane County. (Some of the previous posters are shown on the other side of this page.) The event is free to attend and is open to the public. It is the only one of it’s kind in Lane County.

May is National Older Americans Month

We will be recognizing a number of people, 60 years and older, whose active engagement in community, projects, and traditions allows their “wisdom, beauty & strength” to shine through. We will be honoring active, creative, and vital older Americans who have been inspiring role models and who capture the true essence of this year’s theme.
